The Owner is seeking bids for the construction of the WESTERN BLVD. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PROJECT, CIP # E328. This work consists primarily of underground storm drainage systems in existing roadways, including earthwork, culverts, concrete storm sewer, and pavement replacement. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1:30 PM Arizona MST on Monday, September 20, 2010.

Competitive sealed bids shall be received by the Owner for E. MCMURRAY BOULEVARD MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. This project will provide for resurfacing of existing McMurray Boulevard from Henness Road to Pinal Avenue. The project area is approximately 45 feet wide and 16, 500 feet long. Based on coring and Ground Penetrating Radar the existing pavement is 3.5 inches thick from Henness Road to Trekell Road and 5” from Trekell Road to Pinal Avenue. There are approximately 50 water valves, 25 monuments and 25 manholes within the project area that will need to be adjusted by the removal of old concrete collars and replacement with new ones. Asphalt paving will be MAG A 12.5 mm mix placed with the appropriate tack and fog seal coats. With minor modifications the current layout of pavement marking will be reproduced once the repaving is complete. 

The Owner will begin accepting bids for several Energy Efficiency projects, funded through ARRA and the Arizona Department of Commerce. These projects include retrofitting of lighting fixtures, installation of energy efficient windows and installation of HVAC systems. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 9th at 10:00 am.

The Owner is seeking qualified Engineering and Architectural Consultants to provide general engineering design and construction administration services. The on call list will be in effect for two years.

Scope: Exterior renovations including patching existing stucco, repairing exterior canopies, downspouts, exterior appurtenances, lighting, exterior painting, rehab 56 exterior windows, install new accessible ramp, install new exterior door, provide new wood flooring, ceiling, duct work, and lighting in 2 exhibit spaces. Add alternates for new flag pole, new roofing and bird control devices. The project has a 15% SBE goal.

The Owner is seeking proposals for civil, electrical, geotechnical, mechanical, and structural engineering services.

The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide financing, design and installation, as well as on-going maintenance and operation of a privately owned photovoltaic electric generating system.
